It is a dark and stormy night…it is nearing suppertime when all the housemates are summoned downstairs and find that their house has been transformed. Mr. Boddy, BSam’s rich uncle, greets you and informs you that you will be having a lavish dinner party, with him as the host. He is fond of nicknames and decides to give you all nicknames on the spot:
Pandora - Miss Scarlet
Rellim - Mrs. Peacock
Anka - Mrs. White
BSam - Colonel Mustard
Pen - Professor Plum
Sixteen - Reverend Green
As the night progresses, alcohol flows freely and inhibitions are relaxed. Everyone is having a grand time when suddenly a clap of thunder shakes the house and all the lights go out. Pandemonium breaks out as people run through the house in the dark, and it is several minutes before a light can be found and several more before everyone can be gathered. And that’s when you see him: Mr. Boddy, clearly dead.
“Who has done this?” the Big Brother loudspeaker asks in an accusatory tone. No one answers.
“Did you hear me? I said, who killed Mr. Boddy?” Still no response.
“Ok, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. The six of you have 96 hours to prove who the murderer is. Otherwise you will all be punished…”
As you may have guessed, this week we will be playing Clue (or Cluedo to our British housemates). This is how it’s going to work:
- Each housemate should change their display name and avatar to match their character
- The boards have been changed to the rooms in the board game for the week. Most rooms we just had to tweak the name, but there is no bathroom or bedroom in the game so those boards will be temporarily gone until the task is over. There are also several additional boards that will be here temporarily.
- Your job will be to determine who the murderer was, what the murder weapon was, and in what room Mr. Boddy was killed, using the process of elimination. Each of the first 3 days will receive a tip of a person, place or thing that it is NOT, similar to each of the players in a six-player game being dealt 3 cards each.
- In addition, Big Brother will post clues, puzzles and tips throughout the house.
- You are welcome to discuss your findings and compare notes with housemates, however remember that if you share something on the board all of the other 5 players can see it, so be careful what you give away.
- Once you think you know who it is, make an accusation thread in the room you believe the murder took place. Big Brother will then tell you if you are right or wrong: if right, you win the task, and if wrong, you are kicked from the task.
- You have 96 hours to find the murderer. We will do our best to put out enough clues to make it possible to guess within approximately 72 hours.
